San Francisco-based Together AI has raised $305 million in a Series B funding round led by General Catalyst, bringing its valuation to $3.3 billion. The round saw participation from Prosperity7, Salesforce Ventures, Nvidia, Kleiner Perkins, SE Ventures, Greycroft, March Capital, Cadenza Ventures, and Coatue.
Founded in 2022, Together AI provides a cloud platform that enables developers and researchers to train and deploy generative AI models. The platform supports over 200 open-source models, including Meta’s Llama and China’s DeepSeek.
Last year, the startup secured funding in a round led by Salesforce Ventures, at a $1.25 billion valuation. One of the key drivers behind Together AI’s rapid rise has been its access to Nvidia’s highly sought-after GPUs, which accelerated its growth and adoption.
According to figures released last year, the platform has over 450,000 developers using its services. Salesforce, Zoom, SK Telecom, Zomato, Hedra, and The Washington Post are among its notable enterprise clients.
Together AI’s CEO, Vipul Ved Prakash, highlighted the transformative power of AI, stating, “AI is revolutionizing every industry, unlocking unprecedented efficiencies, and enabling entirely new product categories. We built a cloud platform designed for this AI-driven world, combining state-of-the-art open-source models with high-performance infrastructure and pioneering research in AI scalability and efficiency.”
The company’s AI acceleration cloud offers businesses unmatched performance, security, and cost-efficiency for training leading AI models and deploying production-scale AI applications. “This investment will accelerate our mission to make open-source AI more accessible to developers and enterprises worldwide,” Prakash added.
Together AI provides enterprise-grade inference solutions, training and fine-tuning for foundational models, automated workflow orchestration with built-in code interpretation, and synthetic data generation, covering the entire AI lifecycle.
Marc Bhargava, Managing Director at General Catalyst, praised the startup’s rapid ascent, saying, “Vipul Ved Prakash and his team have built an incredible technology platform and business, emerging as a dominant player in AI infrastructure in less than two years. I first met them during their angel round, and it’s been amazing to witness how Fortune 100 companies now rely on their platform for scalable model training, fine-tuning, and inference.”
Abhishek Shukla, Managing Director at Prosperity7 Ventures, emphasized the growing importance of open-source AI, stating, “Recent advancements in open-source AI highlight the significance of Together AI’s mission to provide secure, accessible, and powerful AI solutions for enterprises in the U.S. and beyond.”
With this latest funding, Together AI aims to further enhance its AI cloud solutions and expand its global reach, making open-source AI more accessible to businesses and developers worldwide.
